Read this before sending money: This Campaign asks for voluntary personal gifts. It is not a charity, nonprofit fundraiser, investment, sweepstakes, raffle, lottery, loan, product purchase, subscription, or payment for services. Nothing is promised in return.
1. Voluntary Personal Gift
By sending money to $TheMillionDollarAsk or any other Campaign payment method, you understand and agree that your payment is intended as a voluntary personal gift to support the Campaign’s public ask. You are not buying anything and are not receiving anything of monetary value in exchange.
2. No Charity or Tax-Deductible Donation
The Campaign is not represented as a registered charity or tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Your gift is not represented as a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Speak with your own tax advisor about your own tax situation.
3. No Investment, Prize, or Financial Return
Your gift does not create ownership, equity, profit share, interest, repayment rights, voting rights, control rights, prize eligibility, contest entry, sweepstakes entry, lottery entry, or any right to receive money, goods, services, or benefits later.
4. No Reliance on Identity Reveal or Milestones
The Site may discuss a public identity reveal at the $2,000,000 goal or other milestone content. Do not give in reliance on a guaranteed reveal, reward, schedule, format, clue, update, or future action. Any reveal or milestone may be revised, delayed, limited, or cancelled for safety, legal, tax, platform, privacy, security, or compliance reasons.
5. Public Anonymity Is Limited
The Campaign may remain publicly anonymous, but public anonymity does not mean anonymity from Cash App, banks, payment processors, tax authorities, courts, regulators, hosting providers, security vendors, legal/compliance systems, law enforcement, or other required parties.
6. Payment Processor Rules Apply
Cash App and other payment providers have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, verification requirements, fraud systems, account reviews, holds, reversals, transfer limits, and compliance rules. We do not control those rules or decisions.
7. Final and Generally Non-Refundable
Because gifts are voluntary, they are generally final and non-refundable. Refunds may be considered at our sole discretion or where legally required, where a payment was clearly unauthorized, where a payment processor requires reversal, or where we determine a refund is appropriate.
8. Campaign Stats Are Informational
Displayed totals, donor counts, challenge counts, progress percentages, and milestones are informational and may be updated manually. They may not be real-time and may change because of fees, refunds, holds, reversals, duplicates, chargebacks, corrections, platform delays, or fraud review.
9. Age and Lawful Funds
You must be a legal adult to give. Do not send funds that are stolen, fraudulent, unauthorized, disputed, restricted, sanctioned, or connected to illegal activity. Do not give if your participation would violate laws, payment platform rules, sanctions rules, or regulations that apply to you.
10. International Donors
If you are outside the United States, you are responsible for any laws, taxes, currency rules, platform restrictions, consumer-protection rules, or reporting obligations that apply to you in your location. The Campaign is not represented as available or lawful in every country.
11. No Public Jurisdiction Listing
To preserve public-facing anonymity, this Disclaimer does not list a public city, county, state venue, registered agent, physical mailing address, or local jurisdiction. Required disclosures may still be made privately to payment processors, banks, tax authorities, regulators, courts, or other appropriate parties when legally required.
